Temporary License Plates for Slovakia, also known as Special Registration Numbers Type C, can be used for the approval of individually imported motor vehicles from abroad. They are intended for the purpose of registering imported vehicles into the Slovak Republic’s vehicle registry, particularly for undergoing originality checks, technical inspections, emissions tests, or performing repairs on the vehicle before proceeding with the procedures at the district office. The territorial validity of Slovak temporary license plates is within the Slovak Republic. The price includes Third-Party Liability Insurance (PZP) and a Slovak highway sticker. A refundable deposit of 100 EUR is required.
Usage: passenger cars, trucks, utility vehicles, motorcycles, trailers, and semi-trailers.
Temporary License Plates for Vehicle Importation from Abroad, especially from Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Poland, and other countries (a complete list can be found at the bottom of the page), may only be used for used vehicles that are deregistered and have a valid technical and emissions inspection, if applicable, or for new vehicles. For used vehicles, required documents include the deregistered vehicle registration certificate, the acquisition document (invoice or purchase agreement), and a certificate proving the validity of the technical and emissions inspection. For new vehicles, a COC (Certificate of Conformity) and acquisition document must be provided. The temporary license plates we offer can be used in selected European Union countries. The price includes Third-Party Liability Insurance (PZP) and a Slovak highway sticker. A refundable deposit of 200 EUR is required.

To successfully complete the rental of temporary license plates, it is necessary to provide all required information about the driver and the vehicle. You will also need to confirm the terms of use for the temporary license plates.
When collecting the temporary license plates in person, you pay the fee directly at the location before handing over the plates. In case of delivery by courier, the payment must be made in advance, before the shipment is sent. In both cases, a receipt protocol is available to ensure the transparency of the entire process.A refundable deposit is also required when renting temporary license plates. The deposit for customers in Slovakia (SR) is 100 EUR, while for EU countries, the deposit is 200 EUR.
You can pick up your temporary license plates in person at our branch in Bratislava on the day of your reservation. If you are from Žilina and the surrounding area, we will deliver them to you via a courier service. Delivery on weekdays is possible as soon as the next day. Delivery within Žilina and the surrounding area is free of charge. In addition to Slovakia, temporary license plates can also be sent abroad for an additional fee.
The rented temporary license plates will be attached to the vehicle, which you can use for the entire duration of the rental period. During this time, the vehicle is fully capable of legal operation in accordance with the validity of the temporary license plates.
There are two options for returning the plates: in person at our Bratislava branch or, within Žilina and the surrounding area, free courier pickup from the customer’s address.

Personal pickup is available on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Outside of working days and hours, temporary license plates can be picked up based on a previously confirmed agreement.
Our temporary license plates can be used for transporting unregistered vehicles from abroad to be registered in Slovakia, or for importing a vehicle from abroad. In Slovakia, they are provided for passenger cars, trucks, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, trailers, and semi-trailers. Within the EU, they are intended for passenger cars, trucks, commercial vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers.
For Slovak temporary license plates, the refundable deposit is 100 EUR. For foreign temporary license plates, the refundable deposit is 200 EUR.
When picking up the plates, you only need to have cash and an ID document ready.
